The Fannie Mae Valuation Department is trying to recruit new appraisers that would like to do REO (foreclosure) work. Fannie Mae is interested in appraisers who also are already set up with Appraisal Port and are willing to use AI ready software. Fannie Mae started using Appraisal Port as of April 14, 2008 and requiring reports being submitted AI ready starting June 1, 2008. Must have five years experience.

Fees:

  1. $350 exterior only for 2-4 units
  2. $250 exterior only for all others
  3. $200 for all follow up inspections
  4. $475 complete interior inspections for 2-4 units (first visit and 6 months after previous inspection)
  5. $350 complete interior inspection for all others (first visit and 6 months after previous inspection)
  6. $200 for vacant land

If interested in becoming a vendor for Fannie Mae, please download the forms posted below (in the Attached Files portion) and forward the completed forms back to Tina L. Wright. Also include your coverage areas (counties) in your email subject line along with the phrase "New Vendor Info". If you are not AI ready, you must be by 06/01/2008 in order to receive work. There will be a background check done and an elimination process for choosing appraisers.

Please do not contact Tina L. Wright regarding status and contact her only if you have questions regarding the forms. She has no control over who will or will not be chosen.

If you have problems downloading the Copy_of_appraiserapp.xls form, follow this link.

FannieMaeNewVendorInfo.pdf is locked as it is a confidential document. Please contact us and request the password to unlock and open this document. This information will only be given to our appraiser members. If you would like to become an appraiser member, please submit your information here.

Good luck!

I was wondering about the Fannie Mae application to receive REO appraisals from them. Do I need to be a member of e-AppraisersDirectory.com? If so I have submitted my application to Fannie Mae and registered to become an appraiser member with e-Appraiserdirectory.com. Could you confirm that both applications have been received?

Answer:
---------
You do not need to register with us and become an appraiser member in order to receive REO appraisal work from Fannie Mae. We became aware that Fannie Mae is trying to recuit new appraisers interested in doing REO work and so we notified our appraiser members. We contacted Tina Wright with Fannie Mae and informed her that a notification was sent to our appraiser members about this recruitment. Since the FannieMaeNewVendorInfo.pdf file is marked confidential by Fannie Mae, we will only provide a password to unlock it to our appraiser members, for we believe Fannie Mae only intended for this file to be viewed by appraisers interested in doing REO appraisals.

We are not processing these applications nor should you email us the required documents. Completed documents should be emailed to Tina Wright. Please do not contact her regarding status and contact her only if you have questions regarding the forms. She has no control over who will or will not be chosen. If you/your company is approved or declined you will received a notice. We are not aware of the process time and assume that it will all depend on the background check and the number of applications being processed.

This is a message directly from Tina Wright.

"If you are inquiring about becoming a Fannie Mae appraiser please go to efanniemae.com and complete the appraiser application. Someone from the vendor management department will contact you if we need additional coverage in your area. Please do not email me or call me with inquires as this is not my area. Also, If you can post this in the same area that you got my email address, I would appreciate it"

Answer:

We were informed that a background check will be made on you and your company. If you/your company is approved or declined you will received a notice. We are not aware of the process time and assume that it will all depend on the background check and the number of applications being processed.

I would like to sign up but I am not AI Ready. Will that be an issue?

Answer:
---------
The National Property Disposition Center (NPDC) manages Fannie Mae's real estate owned (REO) properties. The NPDC/REO department started using Appraisal Port as of April 14, 2008 and requiring reports being submitted AI ready starting June 1, 2008. You need to be AI ready in order to receive work. Please visit url=https://www.aiready.com/app/app_ready.asphttps://www.aiready.com/app/app_ready.asp/url for more information on AI ready.

I was contacted by e-mail about doing foreclosure assignments for e-appraisers.

I am in Kentucky, and work in four counties which are Daviess, Hancock, Ohio, and McLean.

I currently am an appraisalport member and am AIReady.

I am also an FHA Appraiser, Certified Residential in Kentucky and also Missouri my home state.

I would like consider working for your company, but due to the rural area, I charge higher fees for REO's than your website lists as fees paid.

In this area, there is a lot of manual research involved as MLS is only used by Daviess County Realtors. There is no other MLS, and most sales outside Daviess county are located only by manual research through property tax records. This as I am sure you are already aware is very time consuming. There is also a lot more mileage involved due to the large, but still very rural counties.

My question: Do you pay higher fees for areas such as I have listed above? If there are higher fees paid than you list, I would fill out the paperwork and submit. If not, I would not be interested at this time.

Thank you in advance for your assistance as well as the opportunity to work for e Appraisers.

Answer:
---------
We regularly market for the appraiser members in our directory to get additional appraisal work and forward the information to our appraiser members. The email we sent you earlier was to let you know that the Fannie Mae Valuation Department is looking to recruit new appraisers for REO appraisal work. You will not be completing REO appraisal work for us but for Fannie Mae. You will need to contact the Fannie Mae Valuation Department regarding the fee issues.

As a member of our directory, we provided this information to you for additional appraisal work and we hope you will support the directory by upgrading your free membership to a paid membership. In the near future, we will only notify our paid members of any possible appraisal work.

For more information on membership levels, please visit url=http://www.e-appraisersdirectory.com/appraisersmembership.phphttp://www.e-appraisersdirectory.com/appraisersmembership.php/url . The highest paid membership is $40/year.
